Meet Wiard Visser, a fourth-generation farmer from Zuid Holland, who believes in the symphony of nature. He has been instrumental in transitioning his farm to organic practices. De Buytenhof uses no chemicals on the diverse vegetable crops grown on the farm; they maintain sustainable practices such as crop rotation and using alternative fertilisers such as manure and bokashi on their fields.
Wiard grows carrots, beets, onions, potatoes, cabbages, pumpkins, leeks and cauliflowers.
